Thank you very much for your kind donations!
My very first donation blew me away. A colleague - who happens to be a clinician - donated a massive $500 to my campaign and remains the largest single donor.
This got me off to a great start and encouraged me to more than double my original target to $5,000.
As of this post I haven’t quite got there by the way but I’m holding out hope that some of you might be waiting to the end of the month which has a couple of hours left in it yet!
Many have donated anonymously so I can only express my thanks directly to you through my Dry July page. I hope I haven’t missed any!
You can see my list of supporters and their encouraging comments at that page.
For all of you my heartfelt thanks for your contributions. This has been the most successful single person fundraiser I have ever run.
The average Dry July individual fundraiser nets only a few hundred dollars. My final total will be close to my target of $5,000 and the overall funds raised by all participants this year is over a million dollars.
That’s all down to all of you taking the time to pay attention to a good cause. I am humbled by your support.
Your contributions will make a real difference for people dealing with cancer through the supported organisations Look Good Feel Better, PINC & STEEL and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
I’m going to hang up my blogging keyboard for now, at least on this subject.
Thank you all very much.
It's not too late to support my fundraiser by donating here.
Thanks for reading!
