Last Tango in Innsbruck

I was greatly looking forward to seeing Innsbruck and I wasn't disappointed. The town is so close to the mountains on either side you can ride a cable car from the centre of town to the top of the ridge on the southern side of the city - so we did. Spent a lot of time up there capturing images and soaking up the amazing views.

Down in the town we discovered a great coffee place - Kaffekult - just two doors from our hotel. The guy running it lived in Sydney for a while so between that and some great beans we were best mates in no time.

Another few steps away was the whole of the old town, replete with beautiful architecture and excellent eating options.

Two nights was nowhere near enough, but Italy was calling, so after a final coffee we headed south, at first through a rather dreary traffic jam, before the most lovely drive through the mountains. We were navigating by the satnav in the car and were decidedly unsure that we had programmed the right address, but we got there and checked in and found both location and accommodation outstanding.

I just had to post a picture of this shop that only sells bacon; I'm translating this as baconvana!
